PFD is an innovative fundraising tool, that offers an easy and effective way for your supporters to ask their friends and contacts for contributions.
Using the PFD program, your supporters can create personalized web pages, called Personal Fund Drive (PFD) pages. For each supporter, their PFD page includes text and images that you create explaining your organization and the fund campaign. Their PFD page also states their fundraising goal, and includes a thermometer that shows their progress towards their goal, and a dynamically changing "Galaxy of Contributors" showing their friends and contacts that have contributed to your organization, to help them reach their goal. And of course, a link to your online contribution page.
After creating a PFD page, your supporters can send an email to their friends and contacts, which contains a link to their PFD page. The Personal Fund Drive program does the rest.
Move beyond a simple donate now button/link on a webpage to actively contacting people, using address books to ask friends and family members to consider making a contribution. This approach allows the momentum of a fundraising campaign to grow. PFD allows all supporters of the organization to send out professional, HTML personal emails to ask for support, and inviting others to their Personal Fund Drive page.

The PFD software keeps track of each participating member when they are logged in and dynamically generates a personal link to their page in the email that the system sends out to their contacts.
As donations/pledges come in, anyone visiting the General Contribution Page may view the overall progress of the campaign, and anyone visiting a Personal Fund Drive page can view the progress towards that persons goal. These pages will list all non-anonymous donors on the Galaxy of Contributors, and display a thermometer showing the percentage of funds-raised-to-date versus the overall or personal campaign goal.
The PFD web tool allows an administrator for an organization to create a new fundraising campaign and collect donations/pledges online. PFD can allow contributions through your current online donation page, or through an on-line process of your choice.

Once the campaign has been created, and up until the specified end date , visitors on the website would be able to contribute funds/pledges toward the campaign. To do so, the following information would be collected:
This information is used by PDF to compute the percent displayed on the thermometer showing progress toward the goal on the Personal Fund Drive page. When the visitor returns to the site from on-line payment, their contribution will show on the thermometer, and in the Galaxy of Contributors, if that option was selected.
The on-line processing can be done on your website, or through a third-party site such as Pay-Pal.
